Right around the time that I started this blog, my wife and I decided to move from North Carolina to Washington State. We moved to Bonney Lake, just southeast of Seattle with an amazing view of Mt. Rainier.
It’s been a pretty rough process, but I made it and I’ve finally started settling into my new state, house, and job. At some point I’ll probably right an article about how cross-continental software developer interviews impact the whole process of relocating. I learned a lot in a few short months, from interviews alone, that paint some very interesting pictures about the software industry. Suffice it to say that hiring software engineers is a target-rich environment for improvement.
But for the time being, I’m just taking my first long, relaxing breather in several months! This blog was meant to be the next phase in my career. Now, it’s coupled with the next phase in my life.
